Nag Champa incense originates from India, where it has been used for centuries in spiritual practices and rituals. The name "Nag Champa" comes from the Champa flower (Plumeria), which is one of the key ingredients in the incense. The distinctive, sweet and earthy aroma of Nag Champa is a blend of various natural ingredients, including sandalwood, halmaddi (a resin from the Ailanthus Malabarica tree) and essential oils from the Champa flower.
The creation of Nag Champa incense is often attributed to the spiritual traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism, where it is used in temples and monasteries to enhance meditation, prayer and ceremonies.
