Hackmanite

Hackmanite is a rare variety of sodalite with a hardness of 5.5–6 on the Mohs scale, discovered in Greenland in 1896 by the geologist Victor Hackman. The mineral has a pale base color but possesses unique optical properties that cause it to glow and temporarily change color under UV light. Today, the stone is also found in locations such as Canada and Afghanistan.

In crystal healing, hackmanite is considered a powerful tool connected to the third eye and crown chakras. It is used during meditation for deep relaxation, as well as to strengthen intuition and self-confidence. The stone's color shifts symbolize transformation, and it is said to assist the wearer with personal growth, processing difficult memories, and releasing guilt, anxiety, and worry.
