Libyan desert glass has been created by a meteorite strike about 28.5 million years ago. The sand melted and formed this desert glass. It is found west of Egypt. Libyan desert glass has been used for centuries to decorate jewelry, objects, amulets, etc. Among other things, a scarab has been made in the desert glass for Tutanchamon.
Libyan desert glass usually has a yellowish color, which can be completely clear or milky in the color also appears bubbly. Sometimes you can see a brown / black streak in the glass that you think comes from the meteorite itself.
