Libethenite is a rare and sought-after copper phosphate hydroxide mineral that was first discovered in 1823 in the Slovak town of Ľubietová. Its high copper content gives rise to characteristic dark green to almost black crystal formations that are highly valued by geologists and collectors worldwide.
