An abundance quartz crystal is a so-called "host" or "mother" crystal featuring smaller crystal points surrounding its base. To qualify as an abundance crystal, the "mother" point must be surrounded by at least nine other points clustered around the base. Abundance quartz crystals are extremely rare, difficult to find, and highly sought after by collectors. They can be found in a variety of quartz crystal types.
