Mtorlolite has several names and is also known by the names Zimbabwe Chrome Chalcedony, Mtorodit, Matorolite. The locals in Bolivia also call this stone Chiquitanita.
Mtorolite is a variant of Chalcedony that is often associated with Chrysoprase. Unlike chrysoprase, this stone has acquired its natural color through the growth of chromium, giving it a darker green tone reminiscent of Emerald.
