Goniatite is a fossil belonging to the group Ammonites. It has naturally emerged 390 million years ago from various fused minerals and has been found in several places, many times in contact with salt water. The difference between these fossils and other Ammonites is its age, design, composition and pattern. The patterns in these fossils have simpler lobes and saddles as opposed to the Ammonite which has a more complex pattern.
