Echinoid fossils are a genus of extinct sea urchins that lived approximately 93.5–59 million years ago. They are found as fossils in Cretaceous deposits and are characterized by their helmet-shaped, often high and arched shells. Thanks to their hard shell, they are often very well preserved as fossils even though millions of years have passed.
Echinoid fossils can be found in several places around the world, but mainly in areas with limestone bedrock. Its pattern is completely natural and makes each fossil completely unique.
