The crystal is formed naturally when Amethyst and white Quartz come together and form into a common stone, which gives the crystal its amazing unique pattern. When the crystal has a clear zigzag pattern, the crystal is also called "hound's tooth amethyst", this pattern occurs naturally in some of these crystals and can be popular for sale.
This crystal can be found in several places but mainly comes from mines in Brazil, Russia and India.
