Meaning & Properties

Agate is a stone of courage, balance and harmony. It is said to be able to balance Yin/Yang energies and at the same time protect the wearer during use by warding off negativity and blocking unwelcome energies that can create unhealthy stress.

Agate is said to be able to bring power, endurance and strength to the wearer, as well as strengthen their intellect, which makes it very useful for personal development and work with to stabilize their inner self. A stone that is said to create energy for the wearer when they need it most.

Thanks to these properties, this stone is used beneficially during meditation, relaxation and as an energy boost, and makes it excellent to use when studying, at work or at home.

Just like the appearance of the Agate geode, it is said to carry an inner miracle that draws out the wearer's beautiful inner self. It is known to be a "lucky stone" that brings happiness and well-being to the wearer, and gives the feeling of possibilities and opens up for solutions instead of seeing problems. Agate geode is said to be able to show the wearer's inner strength and gives courage to dare to use their own gifts even if there is a risk of failure.

History & Facts

At first glance, an agate geode may appear to be a normal stone on the outside, but when opened up, the stone is filled with sparkling crystals and formations, which in these cases are called geodes. Stones, like other agates, are a basic combination of quartz and chalcedony deposits along with other minerals.

Agate geodes form in cavities in the ground that fill with mineral-rich water. The mineral-rich water surrounds the cavities and the smaller limestones in them. The water hardens around the stones, eventually forming the geode's crystalline structure and outer crust.
