Unakit is a fine stone with a beautiful pattern in unique natural designs and tones. It was first discovered in the year 1874 in the border between North Carolina and Tennessee, USA in the Unakas mountains. The stone is named after the place where it was found and can now be found in several places and countries.
Unakite is also called "Epidote-Granite" as it is formed from Granite that develops during growth when it is affected by temperature differences and liquids.
