Flower Agate is also called Cherry Blossom Agate and got its name from its appearance, pattern and color combination which is reminiscent of flowers. It has been used worldwide for thousands of years both for its beauty and also in rituals for the guiding properties the crystal is said to carry.
Flower Agate was discovered relatively recently, namely in Madagascar in the year 2018. It has grown rapidly in the market and is considered one of the most popular stones to have in one's collection. Nowadays, this crystal can be found in several places and is therefore not considered a rare stone.
The crystal basically consists just like other agates of quartz and chalcedony. Chalcedony is encased in the crystal and formed into flower-like patterns with varying colors and tones.
